Are you living with a vision?

A practical vision has to be rooted in your past, address the future, and deal with today’s realities. This represents who you are and what you stand for. Understanding what it means to have a vision for your life depends on the practice of using vision and is the core of what you want to see yourself as.

The power of vision brings your world into focus and order from chaos. A clear vision of our lives enables us to see everything differently. The ‘Vision’ should be clear and strong and is a mental picture of what you want to achieve, to make it a reality. It is a sturdy ‘picture of a victorious life’ rather than being a vague wish or dream or hope. Proverbs 29:18 (KJV) says – “Where there is no vision, the people perish; but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”

Vision of the future informs and energizes the present. Visioning is the most powerful tool you could witness in your personal life and will also motivate you. Having a vision provides a sense of purpose and direction even in our personal life. Your vision will help you define your short and long-term goals and guide the decisions you make each day along the way. Primarily, our life’s vision defines who you want to be, what you want to be known for, and the set of experiences and accomplishments you aim for. Most importantly, your vision helps to define the goals along with giving you a framework to evaluate those goals from time to time.

You may question sometimes life is so confusing and stressful. It could be difficult to understand what exactly God wants for us, over the noise of the world and the sounds of all the obligations pulling at us. ‘Christ-like vision’ is the ability to discern reality in all things to see and the ideas of the enormous capacity of our mind in creation. Significantly, spiritual discernment, the wisdom, understanding, intelligence of our minds never wears out and is never used up. The soul’s faculty of sight is indestructible and is permanent. The eternal truth is, God knows what He wants for us and is in control of our plans. He has the blueprint for our lives drawn up when we were even created. Now don’t you cry over the spilt milk, still, we have hope for new beginnings.
