• In 1 Samuel 17:4-11, Goliath’s imposing presence represents the intimidating nature of fleshly battles. His challenge to Israel mirrors how desires of the flesh often seem insurmountable.

Romans 7:18 highlights the Apostle Paul’s internal struggle: “For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.” This verse resonates with the battle believers face in overcoming the flesh through the Spirit.

• Joshua 13:2-3 mentions Philistine strongholds, illustrating how fleshly struggles are persistent and require God’s intervention for victory.
