Carry the Flame
A steadfast husband, a father so dear,
A friend whose love drew all who were near.
His journey marked by faith and grace,
A legacy eternal, time cannot erase.
In a humble village, his roots were laid,
With prayers and vision, foundations were made.
Mount Sinai School became his life’s great stride,
A beacon of love, a guiding light worldwide.
With David’s name, a flame has brightly burned,
Through the decades, countless lives were turned.
Staff and students, parents, and friends—
Together they’ve built what never ends.
“Rise, Raise, Praise”—our school motto so bold,
A legacy of purpose, more precious than gold.
We rise with grace, we raise each soul,
And praise the journey as we fulfill the goal.
The children who’ve walked these cherished floors
Now carry the light through open doors.
So staff and students, and parents too—
Together we’ve stood, and we’ll remain true.
As we bid farewell, with hearts aligned,
God’s love and light forever shine.
Carry your candles, let them glow bright,
For in the darkness, His love is the light.
To David Sir, whose work lives on—
Your light will never, ever be gone.
To children dear, the baton is now yours,
Run boldly now through open doors.
The chapter closes, yet the story lives on;
With every graduate, his flame shines strong.
David rests now in heaven’s embrace,
But his vision remains in this sacred space.
Now I stand, unsure of my way,
But I know who holds my hand today.
David has gone ahead to rest,
In the arms of God, forever blessed.
Until we meet at heaven’s gate,
In His presence, we’ll celebrate.
Your love remains a guiding star—
Forever cherished, near or far.
We honor his memory, remembering how his faith in Christ
Transformed not only his life, but the lives of all he touched.
His legacy will continue—guiding and inspiring us
For years to come.
