My authority as a Believer (4) – Makes me a ‘Victor’

Then Jesus turned and spoke these words to Peter: “Get behind me, Satan.” I’m sure Peter was shocked, but Jesus wasn’t really talking to him; He was talking about Satan to Satan – the one who was controlling Peter.  He  was being inspired and controlled by the devil in the things he said.

Now, that is a pretty strong statement, and a lot of people honestly think this is a little over the top. They think they don’t need to respond to people this way. But I can guarantee you that there are times when Satan is speaking directly to you through people. He is using people to get at you. Whether you recognize it or not, this goes on much more than you know. You are in a spiritual warfare.

Exercising our authority as a believer to win the battle:

To win this war, you must be ‘in’ the war. You must know who you are and the ‘Authority’ you have as a believer. In order to be able to experience and to exercise our authority as a believer we need to know the authority of the Word of God on which our faith depends.

Is there someone in your life who just rubs you the wrong way? If there is, it may surprise you to learn that it is not really that person who is creating the rub. There is someone else at work that is your real Enemy, the devil and he may be using them in an attempt to gain an inroad to your life.

Bible is a super-natural conformation, written by a divine Inspiration:

You must agree that the Bible is the only book with supernatural confirmation to support its claim of divine inspiration. The testimony of Christ and the legacy of prophecy are two proofs for inspiration. A third line of evidence is the unity of the Bible.

The Bible covers hundreds of topics, yet it does not contradict itself. It remains united in its theme. “Well, what’s so amazing about that?” you may ask. Consider the facts in the next blog.
