Release yourself from the past by writing

Often we see ourselves holding onto many things that no longer help and support us, like the dress that no longer fits you or the pile of mail you haven’t completely gone through. Some things are larger, like the relationship which is troubling. Regardless of the them, it is taking away the last drop of energy from us.

You may find yourself worrying about it often, or it might just be that you don’t notice anymore because you have gotten completely used to it, so as to make you unable to put the energy where you want your life to go.

You need to know you have a choice. You can continue to hold on and feel yourself stuck. Or you can choose to take a good look at them and let them go.

If you choose to let them go, start with taking a look at some of the common things you could be holding onto and see where you can start. Here’s a few ideas of where to look:

● Regrets you have about things you have done or haven’t done? Could toxic friendships bring you down instead of supporting you? Are you angry about something that has been lingering for days, weeks, years? Few grudges are you holding onto? Are you afraid to fail again ?Is your definition of success yours or someone else’s (your parents’, maybe?)?

● Fill in the blank of: “I will be happy when…”What are you trying to control that isn’t controllable? Are you afraid to succeed? Overwhelmed by your answers?Start by picking the one that hit you the hardest. The one that made your whole body react. Your shoulders clutched, your chest constricted, you felt sick to your stomach thinking about it, and your mind started racing

So its ideal for us to write as there are benefits

Initially knowingly or unknowingly you release yourself from the past, what has been in the past is something u can move on or learn from your mistakes. You learn lessons like- “are you reactive or responsive?”

You learn to live differently and can better yourself or improve. This opportunity you give yourself is needed for you to write.
