We shouldn’t hide but be open to the next generation

The next generation is waiting for us to provide them with an opportunity to guide them in this misguided and derailed generation surrounding us.

What does the Bible say about reaching the next generation?

As we have seen in the verse mentioned before, “We will not hide them from their children; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD, his power, and the wonders he has done. So the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children.” (Psalm 78:6)

Raising a God-fearing generation is a significant responsibility for parents, especially those who are born again. We bear a burden and burning passion to rescue our children from the hand of the enemy. It is our duty to provide guidance as Christian parents, enabling them to recognize the mandate and awesome responsibility given to us by God.

No matter how the world may appear, God loves the next generation and desires to use you to reach them. I’ve witnessed God’s movement among the youth.

Keep your eyes and ears open in your surroundings. The harvest is plentiful, and as Jesus said, the laborers are few.

Let’s pay attention to what the Holy Spirit is stirring in you and me to see around us. Try making a list of people whom you believe would like to invest in forming a small community of faith in your vicinity, as the Lord has already placed them there.

  • Set a time, date, and place for an informal meeting.
  • Establish a time limit.
  • Get to know them personally, understand their ongoing struggles, and allow them to talk while you listen.

In essence, whether consciously or unconsciously, our stories about ourselves deeply influence how we think and behave. You can even guide people to rewrite their stories based on your genuine convictions regarding what you want them to do. This is likely to result in significant and lasting change in the future generation.

Unless YOU tell them, how will they listen?
