Children are a heritage from the Lord. They are immeasurable treasures for a lifetime, but they stay only for a brief time in our hands. We need the wisdom, direction, and purpose to give them the right concepts of blessings that come from the hand of the parent. Again, the scripture says, “those who specialize in a day, also do it for the Lord. Those who don’t specialize in the day, also do it for the Lord.” Birthdays are unique times in their lives, and we need to honor these children on these birthdays. We give them gifts and possessions, but a written word or letter, to me, is special and more than anything, they will treasure it. I don’t know what you think about it, but to me, this is very precious. In those years, I thought this is the least I can do, which will bring a lot of value to my thoughts and words of blessing over them.

I think this is the privilege we have, to bless them, and this is what our forefathers also did. They left a blessing for their children, which is Scriptural too. Another thing is that being a parent, you get to know their temperament and kind of get to know what they are going to be like in the future. Accordingly, we can write prayers to help them. This is where they can build up to be whether they are going to be entrepreneurs, engineers, builders, etc.

Remember when Isaac was blessing, smelling the aroma of the field, and he blessed him according to it. I sense the future of their lives is partly in our hands. So when we write it, we are channeling blessings onto them. A patriarch said that nations will come to you. As a human father, he could envision that in advance to reflect the nature of that child. So we take the precedence of blessing them. We crack the silence and bring words into being. Abraham, Jacob, and even others blessed their children, accordingly because Esau was a man in the field, he grew there where he belonged to. Whatever you see in your faith eyes and are led by, your blessings can also take them that far. Kids may not have knowledge, but parents can already know the future of their children.

My personal note to our three beloved children….

This is a gift in honor of you, sharing your life with me for the past so many precious years in this journey of life. Please accept these little mementos, which I worked on for the last month. I truly consider it a privilege to celebrate you, Angelina, Adlien, and Joshua, on this very special occasion. I have carefully worked over this banner, which is now right in your hands. I request you to agree with me, for the prophetical declarations over your life. You might wonder and consider it weird to hold such a piece of cloth with something written on it. Maybe it’s true. But the significance of this banner is truly Biblical, and I trust and believe it is something in a small way similar to the Ark of the covenant. This will save you from any lies of the enemy against you and your generations. The accuser has no room to find fault with you when God has made you righteous by his blood. This is what I have done symbolically for you.
