In Exodus 20:5 (Bible), it states that “the iniquities of the fathers are visited upon the sons and daughters — unto the third and fourth generation.” However, we know that Jesus came to break all bondages and all the sin-covered issues can be resolved in His name, as we claim it.

“Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us; for it is written: Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.” – Galatians 3:13

Prayer for Generational Bondages

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” Revelation 12:11

Father, I confess that my family and I have been bound in generational iniquities, etc. Now we have an Advocate, our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, who pleads our case. All power is in the blood of the Lamb, which sealed our “not guilty” verdict.

According to the Prayer of Daniel in Daniel chapter 9, we repent for our own sins, the sins of our forefathers, and the sins of our children.

Captain of the Lord’s Host, send mighty warriors to protect us at the command of Jesus. True and living God, send all curses back to their source. Refer the consequences to the cross of the worthy Lamb of God, who bore them by His sinless sacrifice. We are Your blood-bought children.

Send angels to fill up this house, so that nothing can influence us but the power of the living God. Come, Holy Spirit into our greatest needs and give us a revelation that Jesus is the answer.

As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. The Lord Jesus Christ has all authority here. Amen.
