How do we know that there is a spiritual realm?
Before we discuss the spiritual batlle, we need to believe the realm in which it is fought. When we behave like a child to be unconvinced and look away, thinking we would magically disappear from the battle, we cannot then be prepared to fight in it. Also, just because we cannot see the spiritual realm, doesn’t make it not be present.
Many believers and unbelievers today do not want to “deal” with a world we cannot see when the world we do see is hard enough to “deal” with. If we still don’t believe it, we will find ourselves frustrated, confused, and falling away from the peace that God has promised to each of us.
The best way we can first defend ourselves is to be prepared for the offence. Just by educating ourselves about the spiritual realm, we have won half the fight and God gives us everything else we need to be victorious. What a privilege we get to enjoy.
In this following reference we see the Israelites confess their sins, in the Spirit of Thanksgiving, fasting by humbling themselves and worshipping the Lord their God as in Nehemiah 9:3. They took their position by standing one by one and declaring about the Lord God Almighty all about the great things he had done. What a great reminder!
(Ephesians 6:12) is a caution against lashing out against human opponents as though they were the real enemy and also against assuring that the battle can be fought using merely human resource, for our fight is not against ‘flesh and blood’.
Colossians 1:15-16, Christ who is the Eternal Son of God who became God, man reflects and reveals him. So if we can see God through Jesus, then we have no choice but to also believe His Spirit.
