Jesus knows the feminine heart and is comfortable with the devotion of women like how we see Mary perfuming Jesus’ feet and drying them with her hair. When she was criticised for such a seemingly inappropriate act, Jesus himself was her defender. This Jesus is my God.
My God is Queen Esther’s God. He partnered with a beautiful woman, who brought her to the kingdom for ‘such a time as this’, to defeat evil and preserve the nation of Israel. I want to be a kingdom person. I know prayer has brought me to where I am to influence for ‘such a time as this’.
I want to be a part of his grand design and on His team.
Changes and becoming who you are is the key to ageing well in the midst of inevitable loss. It so happens that we look to our labels but God does not define us by our roles or by our relationship but by our hearts, our character, our souls or what identifies us to God. But God looks to our heart.
More than our health, mental health, achievements and relationships, He is there so when life gets tough, instead of resisting or questioning, its best is to bend to God’s ways.
I have heard of someone who after she lost her arm movement and the ability to play piano, she told the Lord- “would you still like to use my musical gifts?”. She became a trumpeter with one hand. She was also a powerful model of how to manage heartbreaking loss.
Life hit her hard but she managed to shift, to bend to use the productivity of what was left. What a success story!! These experiences will give a feeling of the death of dreams. It could be a transaction.
