Your value in Christ (6)- Is your total and solid confidence

In I Cor 4:3, Paul was confident in Christ because he knew he was made acceptable to God through  Christ. He also knew who he was in Christ, he knew where he came from and he knew where he was headed. Paul remembered his past and how he had vehemently persecuted Christians prior to God opening his eyes to the truth. He said to himself that he had to make an effort to let go of the past and press on towards perfection. Paul did not think he had arrived, did not claim perfection nor did he have a bad attitude towards himself. He knew he made mistakes but he did not reject and despise himself because of them.

Dear Lord, God of all wisdom, grant  me the mind of Christ. When  my weakness multiplies in my life, then a heavenly ray of hope will give me confidence that God is beginning  to strengthen me . He began to flow through me. This will replace all I know. My weaknesses will still exist but even that knowledge caused me to lean on him constantly.

Entering in to God’s Rest concerning your faults

God had told me to give myself permission to have weaknesses. I knew I was in them.  But it was a major step of faith. Instead my weakness multiplied in my life and God began to strengthen me in them. He began to flow through me. I know my weakness will still exist but even that knowledge caused me to lean on him constantly.

I am asking you to do something and it’s very important, our imperfections are not going to stop God unless we let him do so. Some people who are  filled with themselves won’t even bother  to dress up extra to look better. The way they feel about themselves inside shows the outside.

If you are not confident of your self-worth, it  will diminish and be replaced with confusion, lack of confidence and feeling unsure of every decision you’re making in your life. In order to rectify it try to  figure out where your Self-Doubt and such thoughts are coming from. Building and practising self-compassion can give you a huge boost in your own confidence and self-worth.

At times, the more I share the past, the more I experience the loss of power it has over me. God chooses and uses people with flaws so refusing to admit that we have them, may disqualify us from being used by God. He wants truth not deception. He wants us to be truthful with ourselves, with him and with other people.
