“It is an immense honour and privilege to write this as I reflect on this wonderful labour of love that my dear mother has been writing. I have been so blessed to witness as her daughter the love and the passion she has for the Lord and to be raised in the fear of God and love for Him and what matters in the light of eternity even as I saw my precious mother do the same on a daily basis.
Memories of my early moments at home are vividly punctuated with seeing my parents seek God and His word at the beginning of the day as well as their call for us to also reflect as a family in the morning and in the evening and several times in between. Amma took the time to spend one on one time with me and teach me from a very young age the matters of life which I should be cautious about and always pointed me back to the Lord and His will. Perhaps one of my greatest lessons from Amma is that we have one life, the one that Jesus gave us, and that living to honour Him in everything I ever did in life is all that really matters.

Whilst I have had the privilege to see the example of a godly mother in my mother even as a child, she has been my best friend, and someone I always look up to even now. In her own life, my mother has gone through her own path of unique walk with the Lord where she has surrendered even the difficult moments to the Lord and trusted Him to see her through. As she depends on the Lord for each and every thing, I have seen the way the Lord has led her and all of us and it has been marvellous to witness.
In her book named ‘why Me Lord ‘ you will also have the chance to see glimpses of loss, release, gain, questions and answers, adventures, different seasons and stages of life; but through it all, there is the golden thread of God’s sovereign hand intertwined in the pages of this book.
When I look back at the 34 years of life I have had the chance to do life alongside my dear mother, across miles when we were in different countries, as well as the past few years when we worked together in the school and even watching her journey as she painstakingly put in the effort into this book, I pray that you may be aware of the Saviour’s love for you as well. I pray that you too may embark on your own journey of faith and love as you walk with Jesus every day in His perfect love.“
