… Ever after

Life on Earth is transient, and it’s crucial to cultivate an intimate yet diligent awareness of where our destiny leads us. The frailty of life and its events necessitates vigilant monitoring to course-correct our daily affairs. What I mean by this is that each of us can craft our life story from the end to the beginning.

Delving deeper, we should consider our life’s ending, akin to the fairy tale conclusion – “they lived happily ever after.” To reach such an ending, we possess a rudder.

Birds adeptly steer by twisting and turning their bodies during flight, adjusting their wings as needed. Their tails serve as rudimentary rudders, facilitating precise control, from subtle directional changes to sharp swerves and turns.

Similarly, each of us is endowed with an in-built rudder to navigate toward a harbor of happiness without regret or pain, unlike the many who regret at life’s end. The opportune moments are with us NOW, allowing us to redo, undo, and redirect the course of our lives.

Echoes from the feeble voices of those aristocrats resonate with the grave regret of having squandered a lifetime’s worth of opportunities to do what they knew was right all along.

As I mentioned in my previous post, “Let’s reason.” I implore you to introspect now. When you look back on your life, do any of the same questions and regrets that haunt them affect you? Perhaps this is a good place for you to start. So, come, let’s explore further.

Fortunately, we don’t need to live as long as they did to reflect on the end of our story. We can catch a glimpse of it starting today.
